The Export Development Board with Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) Rainbow Pages on Thursday launched the Sri Lanka e-directory of exporters and web portal.
“The directory is a product which will promote national exporters globally,” SLT Publications CEO Malraj Balapitiya said.
“We cater to various needs of professionals we have just added exporters, he said. The book had been available in traditional format before,” he added.
A Google analytical report shows that visitors from 155 countries have accessed the SLT pages – there are 6,129 visits and 48,833 page visits a week.
The web e- directory can be stored on a lap top or a copy received by email.
“The EDB is adding another service to the export community by launching the e-directory and the web directory,” Chairman Janaka Ratnayaka said at the launch.
“The apparel sector has done well though the industry is facing a global recession he said, adding that the Asian region was likely to survive the global recession better than Europe and the western market,” he added.
