President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday at the regular breakfast meeting with Editors said that “sudden spikes” weren’t good and all stakeholders should work together to develop the capital market.

This comment was in response to a question about the state of the stock market in the context of his recent meeting with capital market stakeholders.

The President also noted at the Editor’s meeting that some media misreported the deliberations and outcomes of the forum, though he didn’t go into details.
