The Rainforest Ecolodge does Sri Lanka proud; wins Skal Sustainability Award

The Rainforest Ecolodge, located in the precincts of the Sinharaja forest in Deniyaya, carried away another prestigious award by being declared the winner of the Skal International Sustainability Award in the Countryside category at the award ceremony held in Mexico a few days ago. This pilot initiative in ecotourism which showcases best practices was a joint effort of leading leisure companies in Sri Lanka. For its unique design, incorporating green principles, the Rainforest Ecolodge was awarded the coveted LEED ‘Platinum’ in 2012 and has since received high acclaim from its growing clientele.
