A top delegation of high-end business personalities from varied sectors from Israel will be attending the Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) from 12 to 14 November. Sri Lanka’s Ambassador in Tel Aviv Sarath Wijesinghe said the Israel team represents sectors such as agriculture, tourism, dairy, technology and construction. “Israelis are renowned for their cutting-edge technology and innovative thinking and will most certainly benefit from their participation at the Commonwealth Business Forum, which is a major global business event,” Ambassador Wijesinghe said. Interest for the upcoming CBF from Israel is high especially following a visit by a trade delegation to Sri Lanka from Tel Aviv in August. Leading entrepreneurs from the agricultural, dairy, tourism and defence sectors led by Ambassador Wijesinghe was a tremendous success and had paved the way for more fruitful collaboration in trade, commerce and investment between the two countries. To carry forward the momentum, the Ambassador is leading another delegation for the CBF and he expressed hope that exploration of mutually-beneficial opportunities will augur well to boost bilateral ties.
