Top trade mission from Netherlands in town

The Netherlands Vice-Minister for Foreign Trade Simon Smits will visit Sri Lanka from 14 to 17 July, accompanied by a business delegation consisting of leading Dutch companies such as Boskalis, Vitens Evides, Enraf Nonius, van der Knaap, Eijkelkamp, and Rabobank. Smits’ visit will be the first high-level visit to Sri Lanka by a minister from The Netherlands in recent times and is aimed at obtaining a first-hand impression of the many opportunities that Sri Lanka as a rapidly developing market is offering. He will be meeting with senior Government ministers and officials from both public and private sectors. The Minister’s main engagements will be on the health and water sectors where The Netherlands companies are on the leading edge, offering expertise. Follow-up missions may be planned depending on the outcome of this visit.
