Udaya appointed Tourism Promotion Bureau Chairman

Industry veteran Udaya Nanayakkara has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau by subject Minister John Amaratunga.

Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Chairman Paddy Vithana was the Acting Chairman of SLTPB.

Industry analysts welcomed the appointment of Nanayakkara, who was a former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board as well as the United Federation of Travel Agents Associations, the global umbrella organisation for the travel agency industry. He was also a past President of the Travel Agents Association in Sri Lanka.
