Udaya appointed Tourism Promotion Bureau Chairman

Industry veteran Udaya Nanayakkara has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau by subject Outside-lead-2-Udaya-Nanayakkara Minister John Amaratunga.

Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Chairman Paddy Vithana was the Acting Chairman of SLTPB.

Industry analysts welcomed the appointment of Nanayakkara, who was a former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board as well as the United Federation of Travel Agents Associations, the global umbrella organisation for the travel agency industry. He was also a past President of the Travel Agents Association in Sri Lanka.
