United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) National List Candidate Charitha Herath yesterday stressed that the UPFA would win 12 districts out of 24 at the upcoming general election.
Commenting on the UFPA’s chances of victory, he asserted that the UPFA would have clear success by obtaining a minimum of 5,500,000 votes.
“We are confident of victory in Moneragala, Hambantota, Galle, Matara, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Kurunegala, Kegalle, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Gampaha and Matale Districts. We expect we will get more votes from Puttalam District too,” Herath explained.
He also said that most voters who voted for the swan at the last presidential election would vote for the betel leaf this time.
