The third instalment of the annual BMW Golf Tournament, sponsored by Prestige Automobile Ltd., was held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club on 26 October 2013. The most sought-after event in the Sri Lanka golfing calendar saw participants in the BMW Golf Cup International Open category and the BMW Owners’ category vie for wins and a chance to represent the country at the world final to be held in Phuket, Thailand. Winners in the BMW Golf Cup International Open category received a fully-sponsored golfing holiday to Phuket, Thailand, while winners in the BMW Owners’ category were awarded a fully-sponsored stay and business class travel to Phuket, Thailand, to take part in the world final with 48 other countries. The tournament concluded with an awards ceremony and reception. Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Jurgen Morhard was the Chief Guest at the Award ceremony.
