Aberdeen Score & Roar 2024 – A Celebration of Sportsmanship, Unity, and Sustainability

Aberdeen Group’s inaugural intra-group cricket tournament and Fun Fiesta, “Score & Roar,” concluded with a spectacular showcase of talent, teamwork, and determination. This event united employees and their families from across the conglomerate for a day filled with exciting cricket matches and engaging activities.

The tournament featured 13 teams from Aberdeen Group’s subsidiary companies, each displaying remarkable sportsmanship, collaboration, and dedication. Fits Express (Pvt) Ltd, a leader in the transport and logistics industry, emerged as the champions of the tournament, demonstrating outstanding teamwork and perseverance. Expack Corrugated Cartons PLC also delivered an impressive performance, earning the position of runner-up.

Sustainability was at the core of this event, reflecting Aberdeen Group’s enduring commitment to environmental stewardship. Neptune Recyclers, a subsidiary, led the effort by collecting and recovering 55kg of waste, which will be responsibly processed and recycled, contributing to a circular economy. Expack Corrugated Cartons PLC supported these efforts by strategically placing recyclable bins throughout the venue, ensuring proper waste disposal and further reducing the environmental footprint. Attendees were encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, with refilling stations provided to eliminate the need for single-use plastics, and to use reusable bags to minimize waste. This initiative underscores Aberdeen’s broader mission to create a positive environmental impact and promote sustainable practices across all its activities.

Families attending the event enjoyed a wide range of activities, including games, food stalls, and live entertainment, making the day a memorable experience for all.
