CECA provides 52 orphanages with dry rations

The members of the Colombo Expats Cultural Association (CECA), in a magnanimous gesture, recently distributed, collectively, 15 tons of food (rice, dhal, flour, sugar, oil and soft drinks) to 52 orphanages, serving 1,311 children.

This donation of essentials was to help the orphanages manage the disruption of daily life during the partial shutdown of the country as part of the measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Nearly 100 members of CECA contributed to this project worth Rs. 2 million, which was spearheaded by CECA President Capt. Anirban Banerjee
