Sampath Bank marches ahead ‘Towards Vision 2020’

Sampath Bank ceremonially embarked on the second phase of its strategic vision for the year 2020 at a gala event titled ‘Towards Vision 2020’.

This grand event, attended by close to 3,000 members of Team Sampath, was held at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC), Colombo on Saturday, 27thOctober.

Apprising the team of some of the significant achievements of the Bank from the recent past, Sampath Bank PLC Managing Director Nanda Fernando unveiled Sampath Bank’s vision for 2020 to the audience. The Bank had adopted this strategic vision in May this year. Thanking them for their continued support, he called upon Team Sampath to stay committed to the vision.

The event also witnessed Sampath Stars Awards being awarded to members of Team Sampath in recognition of their outstanding performance in the year 2017. Seven awards were given away for Canvassing Deposits and two were awarded for Canvassing Advances. Sampath Bank Head of Recoveries Asoka Manikgoda received a Special Recognition Award in appreciation of his remarkable dedication and steadfast commitment towards uplifting the image of the Bank through the ‘Sampath Daham Thilina’ program, for 18 years continuously.

The awe-inspiring evening included performances by noted local artists as well as talent from within Sampath Bank.
