AVIVA NDB Insurance facilitated the presence of lifesavers from the Lifesaving Association of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Police and Navy at reservoirs and lakes in and around Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Dambulla during the Poson season. This is the 19th consecutive year that the company conducted a safety programme for Poson pilgrims. Seven pilgrims were rescued by lifeguards when they got into difficulty while bathing.
