Celebrating Creativity

The State Dance and Drama Festivals were held last week to celebrate the abundant talent in Sri Lanka and what key figures have achieved in the past year. Lifetime achievement awards were presented to veterans who have dedicated their lives to developing drama and dance while remembering the greats of yesteryear. Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne, Education Minister Bandula Gunawardene and Cultural and Aesthetic Minister T.B Ekanayake were among the main guests in both events - Pix by Suminda Sudarshana Pathirana and Sanjeewa Niroshana
