Festival of light

Sri Lanka was illuminated with brightly coloured Vesak celebrations during the last two days with pandals, lanterns and dansals being staged in every nook and corner. This Vesak, marked as a special one as Buddhists all over the world celebrated 2,600 years since the enlightenment of Lord Buddha, saw special celebrations being hosted all over the country.
