The 2014 South Asia conference on Financial Reporting for Economic Development (FRED) was staged by the Institute of Chartered Accountants Sri Lanka together with the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA), the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and The World Bank. The inauguration ceremony was held at Jetwing Blue, Negombo on 19 May with the participation of regulators, policymakers, business leaders, academics and professionals
