The Japan Sri Lanka Technical & Cultural Association (JASTECA) conducted its Annual Awards Night 2013 recently at the Galadari Hotel, which was attended by over 400 distinguished guests. The awards ceremony, which was conducted for the 18th consecutive year, was mainly to promote productivity, efficiency and sustainable development among local business entities in keeping with the vision of JASTECA. Awards were presented to the winners of 5S, Kaizen and CSR competitions for their excellence in performance. The Chief Guest at the occasion was Japanese Ambassador Nobuhito Hobo and the Guest of Honour was MAS Holdings Chairman Mahesh Amalean.
