Kandy kaleidoscope

The ‘Visit Kandy 2011’ Tourism Promotional and Trade Exhibition was declared open by Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake on 10 November at the Kandy City Centre premises. The inaugural ceremony was also graced by the participation of Chief Minister of North Central Province Berty Permalal Dissanayake, Mayor of the Kandy Municipal Council, officials representing the Central Province Development Authority and many representatives from the travel and tourism industry in Sri Lanka. The four-day event (10-13 November) showcased the unique touristic attractions of Kandy City, highlighting various aspects like culture, history, events, nature, etc.
