Kunigal Stud Magic Million Cup Race Day

The Kunigal Stud Farm and Royal Turf Club joined hands on 16 April, bringing the Kunigal Stud Magic Million Cup with winning stakes of Rs. 1 million, the first of its kind in Sri Lankan racing history. It was won by Charlatan who is a Kunigal bred horse, now the property of Deepthika Jayakody. The Horse Racing Festival in Nuwara Eliya is one of the biggest events of the Sri Lankan social and holiday calendar not only for its races but also as a popular event for a parade of the most fashionable ladies dressed in racing outfits varying from elegant to over-the-top.
