The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) in association with the Matara Branch of the Colombo Stock Exchange conducted an “Investor Day” on Saturday 16 July at the Galle Town Hall, to educate investors on investing in the stock market and Unit Trusts. Approximately 1,000 investors participated at this event which was a part of several initiatives implemented by the SEC in order to take the stock market to the outstations. The programme was conducted as a part of SEC's popular weekly TV programme “Prathilabha” which is being telecast on Rupavahini on Sundays at 10 a.m.
