In commemoration of the company’s golden jubilee in June 2014, Mercantile Investments and Finance PLC felicitated its longstanding employees who have served the company for more than a decade. As a tribute to the loyalty displayed, a gala event was organised at Waters Edge on 29 November, under the patronage of Managing Director Gerard Ondaatjie. The full Board of Mercantile Investments together with founder Chairman Deshabandu George Lawrence Ondaatjie graced the occasion, while Dr. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Acting Director and the Chairman of the Board of Management of PIM, was invited as the guest speaker for the event.
