Negombo Investor Day nets big crowd

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) in association with the Negombo Branch of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) conducted a road show “Investor Day- Negombo” on Saturday, 3 September 2011 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Negombo. Over 700 new investors participated at this event. Representatives of 18 Stock Broker firms and Unit Trust Management Companies participated at the Investor Day in order to educate the general public on investing in the Capital Market. This was the 4th Road Show conducted by the SEC in two months. Previous events were held in Galle, Kandy and Kurunegala.
