Perahera pageantry

The two-day annual Nawam Perahera of the Gangaramaya Temple concluded yesterday. The Nawan Perahera is a kaleidoscope of colour, featuring artistes from the upcountry, low country and various other provinces, with over 100 troupes participating. Elephants are a key attraction at this annual event, which draws in large crowds of people eager to witness the spell-binding procession
