Perahera pageantry

The two-day annual Navam Perahera of the Gangarama Temple concluded last night, amidst much pageantry and celebration. In its 35th year, the perahera was a culmination of light, colour and culture with the participation of over 60 elephants, 6,000 cultural dancers, and 500 Buddhist monks from temples across the island
