Signs of the Times unveiled at MLH

Mount Lavinia Hotel celebrated an historic occasion with the unveiling of four blue plaques in the main entrance of the hotel recently (Monday,  31 January 2011).

The four blue plaques were acquired by Mount Lavinia Hotel across the seas from Britain to celebrate the historic link between the two countries and the remarkable significance that Mount Lavinia played as the residence of four British Governors; Sir Thomas Maitland, Sir Robert Brownrigg, Sir Edward Paget and Sir Edward Barnes and continues to play uniting the past with the present. In line with the theme of the blue plaques the hotel was lit up in blue to mark this historic moment
