  • Decompress from holiday stress with these streaming shows

Askmen.com: Sick of spending your weekend scrolling through all of your many streaming services only to give up before finding something good to watch? It kind of reminds us of the olden days of cable TV… Hundreds upon hundreds of channels, but nothing ever seemed to be on. Funny how things change yet simultaneously stay the same, huh?

But we totally get it — your TV time is precious and should be spent watching, not searching. That’s why we’re rounding up the top five best movies, television series, and events coming to your favourite streaming platforms each and every week — tailored specifically for you.

This month has undoubtedly been hectic. But now that the holidays are mostly behind us, it’s time to kick back, relax, and catch up on all that high-quality streaming content you’ve been too busy to enjoy these past few weeks. So throw on your most comfortable sweatpants, heat up the holiday leftovers, and fire up your favourite vessel for streaming content because there’s a whole lot to binge this weekend.

Season Finale of Star Wars: The Mandalorian

You’ve seen all the memes ... but if you’ve been waiting for the full season of the unofficial Baby Yoda Show to drop before you binge it all in one shot, now is most definitely the time to do so.

Set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, “The Mandalorian” tells the tale of a bounty hunter (Pedro Pascal) who must find and protect the Child (a.k.a. Baby Yoda) in the outer reaches of the galaxy. It’s a little sci-fi, a little old Western and far more universally crowd-pleasing than “The Rise of Skywalker.”

In the wake of what fans have referred to as the very best episode of the season, last week’s penultimate chapter set up an action-packed season finale that drops on Friday, December 27.

Lost in Space Season

Lost in Space: Season 2

A reimagining of the 1960s TV series of the same name, Netflix’s “Lost in Space” follows the Robinson family after their spacecraft veers off course and forces them to crash-land on an alien planet. With the odds stacked against them, the space colonists must then attempt to not just navigate, but survive this unfamiliar landscape full of hidden dangers.

The series first debuted on Netflix in April of 2018 and quickly earned itself a second season thanks to fans’ rave reviews. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can catch up on season one in its entirety. Then, check out all 10 episodes of season two, freshly released on 24 December.

The Age of A.I.

If you’re looking to dive even deeper into science fiction this weekend, consider exploring the myriad of real-life technologies that are bringing those stories just a little bit closer to reality.

“The Age of A.I.” is an eight-part documentary series that examines the ways that innovative tech such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Neural Networks are making a mark on our world. Hosted by Robert Downey, Jr. — no stranger to the wonders of AI thanks to a decade-plus portraying “Iron Man” — the series uncovers how these intelligent machines affect the way that we, the comparatively unimpressive humans, live our daily lives.

Championship Boxing: Davis vs. Gamboa
