All Island Senior Citizens Scrabble Tournament

The All Island Senior Citizens Scrabble Tournament will take place on Sunday 22 October at the Hilton Colombo, where Sri Lankans over the age of 50 years will vie for the coveted championship trophy, the Deshamanya Clara Motwani Challenge Cup. 

Category “A” players will use words from OSW 15 (Official Scrabble Words), the dictionary currently accepted. “B” category players will only be permitted words from the Oxford English Dictionary (11th edition) and the winner will receive the Rajathy Kandasamy Trophy.

Prizes for the highest word score and the highest game score in addition to spot prizes for each of the games will add to the excitement of the event.
