American thriller ‘Beast’ now showing in 20 Lankan cinemas

American survival thriller film ‘Beast’ is now being shown in 20 Sri Lankan cinemas.

They are LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, CCC – Colombo City Centre, PVR Colombo 2, KCC – Kandy City Centre, Majestic – Colombo 4, Regal – Gampaha, Regal – Dematagoda, Savoy 3D – Colombo 6, Savoy Primer – Rajagiriya, City cinema, Milano Diamond, NIT Kurunegala, NIT Ratnapura, Sinexpo, Sky Lite, Vista Lite, Amity Lite, Sky Lite, Maxx Lite and Nikado – Kadawatha.

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur from a screenplay by Ryan Engle, ‘Beast’ is based on a story by Jaime Primak Sullivan. The film stars Idris Elba, Iyana Halley, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Sharlto Copley.

Recently widowed Dr. Nate Daniels and his two teenage daughters travel to a South African game reserve managed by Martin Battles, an old family friend and wildlife biologist. However, what begins as a journey of healing soon turns into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of bloodthirsty poachers, begins stalking them.
