American apocalyptic horror film “A Quiet Place: Day One” is now being shown in 13 cinemas countrywide in Sri Lanka.
The cinemas are PVR Cinemas, Colombo City Centre, Kandy City Centre, Majestic Cinema, Regal Dematagoda, Regal Jaffna, Regal Katubedda, Sky Lite Matara, Amity Lite Maharagama, Aqua Lite Negombo, Milano Diamond, Liberty Colpetty, and Liberty Kiribathgoda. Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, the movie is based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. It is the third instalment in the A Quiet Place film series, serving as a spin-off prequel to the first film.
The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph Quinn, and Alex Wolff, with Djimon Hounsou reprising his role from A Quiet Place Part II (2020). Its plot follows a terminally ill woman during the early stages of an invasion in New York City by blind extra-terrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing.
When New York City comes under attack from an alien invasion, a woman and other survivors try to find a way to safety. They soon learn that they must remain absolutely silent as the mysterious creatures are drawn to the slightest sound.
