The third Bangladesh Film Festival showcasing the finest works of contemporary Bangladeshi cinema at Tharangani Theatre, National Film Corporation in Colombo began yesterday with the screening of Rehana Maryam Noor by Abdullah Mohammad Saad.
The festival presenting a diverse collection of cinematic masterpieces will go on till 8 October.
Critically acclaimed movies, namely Rehana Maryam Noor, Raat Jaga Phool, Nona Joler Kabbo, Damal, and No Dorai will be screened (with English subtitle) during the festival. Entrance is free.
The festival will be a celebration of the rich cultural tapestry of Bangladesh and also of the cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Admission is free-of-charge.
