The Bayleaf restaurant needs no introduction in serving iconic Italian cuisine and now on its 19th year of serving great food and happy memories launches its festive program bringing art, flavour, and festive cheer to enjoy with family and friends, which strengthens the power of togetherness.

The Bayleaf, Colombo’s finest Italian restaurant is even more exciting this season with the launching of the new refurbished private rooms offering elegance and unique Italian ambience to enjoy special dining experiences. 18 December features Shamista directing the Rush Youth Choir for an evening of seasonal music, jazz and fresh harmonies along with DOS band – with Sheaam Dean and team at The Bayleaf Garden. Festive Italian specials are from  24 December and Chefs Saroj and his team’s delicious Christmas menu with roast and grills and maintaining homemade freshness from 24- 30 December and a Gala dinner buffet on the 31 December to usher in the New Year at The Bayleaf.



The Bayleaf Bar – creating a more chilled yet an exotic ambiance with the refurbishment is a welcome spot to enjoy great music, signature cocktails and to relax with the selection of Chef’s Tapas menu.

Festive catering menus include traditional festive fare, Italian specials, and South Asian and BBQ themes for your corporate event and festive party.

Along with the refurbishment The Bayleaf launched the Art Gallery to feature well-known local and aspiring artists to feature their creativity at the gallery on a monthly basis. Starting with “Flowers do have Dreams”, an exhibition of paintings by Chaminda Gamage curated by Sadev Wittachy.

Chaminda Gamage, winner of art at the State Award for Painter of the Year, is an accomplished Sri Lankan artist who has demonstrated a passion for painting since childhood. Sadev Wittachy, a graduate of the City School of Architecture, Colombo, with over 20 years of experience, known for blending creative vision with meticulous craftsmanship. Now curating his debut art exhibition, Sadev celebrates local artists, creating a platform to showcase their creativity. The exhibition is open from 13 December to January 2025.
