Guava and agro cultivators, Ceylon Green Life Plantation Ltd. (CGLP), recently launched its social media campaign on brand – Deelectaa with its victory song.

This victory song was sung by popular teen singer Yesandi Haputhanthri who is a 360D musician, and a member of the Soul Sounds Academy led by legendary Soundarie David.

CGLP Founder/Entrepreneur Dr. Malan Petersay said: “In a time where our Generation Z and Alpha has faced a major challenge with regard to the social pressure for its youth age, we thought of acquiring the services of this young musician Yesandi to sing our Deelectaa theme song which we call the victory song. Our main aim is to establish a respectable freedom among the youth where the brand also promises the same outlook. Also, we have signed up with Yesandi Haputhanthri for the next three years to lend her amazing voice and to be our brand face with confidence.”

Yesandi Haputhanthri said: “I am so honoured and proud to be a part of this national event where I sang for my youth, my generation and for Gen Alpha and to the Beta. It is my debut song release and I am grateful for the Chairman of Ceylon Green Life Plantation for selecting my debut song for its brand Deelectaa. Also, my school Musaeus for giving me the opportunity to perform my song at the walk which concluded on 29 June 2024. A huge morale booster for me where I launched my debut song in front of a packed audience.”  Yesandi Haputhanthri, a product of Musaeus College, Colombo 7, had her career started from school as Chorister, Western Band member playing the saxophone and the side drum and she ventured out to make her silver screen debut with Udayakantha Warnasooriya’s – Madura Charika and being a fully-fledged member in the Ranwala Balakaya, Yesandi came out brilliantly in both singing and acting.

Being an open mic singer with House of Grace she moved to open signing. Then as a permanent member of Soundarie David’s Soul Sounds Academy where she refined her singing talent and guitar with piano, her knowledge as a 360D musician grew strong to reach this height.

Still at 15 years of age, Yesandi is now being trained by Jerome De Silva for the upcoming theatre performance.
