Iran Film Festival in Colombo

Iran Cultural Centre Colombo this week kicked off the Iran Film Festival at the National Film Corporation Main Auditorium, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 7. The festival is on until 8 May.

Islamic Republic of Iran Ambassador Hashem Ashjaazdseh was present as a Chief Guest at the opening ceremony. Cultural Counsellor Bahman Moazamil, Chief of Economic and Consular Section K. Soheil, Film Corporation Deputy General Manager Madura Wanigesekera, General Manager G.A. Kithsiri and Director Damith Fonseka were also present. “Sensitive Floor” was shown at the opening ceremony. Today’s movie is “Tragedy” at 5 p.m. and tomorrow it is “The Other One’s Dad.” Other titles in the festival included “Lady and Hush: Girls Don’t Scream”.
