James Koch of Sri Lankan origin makes the British music charts in UK

Sri Lankan born Fred James Koch, has been recognised in the United Kingdom with major music chart success.

He is the son of iconic parents Alston Koch, singer-songwriter, award winning actor, international celebrity and entrepreneur, and former Miss Ceylon Yolande Ahlip grand-daughter of T.B. Jayah.

Fred James Koch known as ‘James’ to his many friends and fans in Sri Lanka, Australia and America was informed of his recent musical foray into the UK music charts by legendary Australian Dance/Pop producer Geoff Sturre recently and at this stage it looks like a two-way battle between Australian Pop icon.

James Koch has been based in Hollywood for some years playing major roles in films with Sir Ben Kingsley and Ben Cross in ‘A common man’ with Mickey Rourke and Sean Stone in ‘Nightwalk’ amongst others and is one of the most prolific actors seen in TV commercials worldwide for Bupa, Toyota and Repco.

It’s extremely rare for any Pop singer to make the British Pop Music Charts especially of Asian parentage. Alston Koch (RCA Records) with his many original hits like Disco Lady, Try Again and 20 Miles etc. led the way in the late 1970’s in Australia and the Southern hemisphere.
