The ‘Aluth Pola’, a Justice for Animals fundraiser will take place on Sunday 9 July from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Body Bar, located at No. 3 Jawatte Avenue, Colombo 05.
Justice for Animals is a registered non-profit animal welfare organisation whose core program is rabies eradication through humane population control with a goal to reduce starving, injured, sick homeless cats and dogs and prevent future suffering. The July ‘Aluth Pola’ features more than 30 small local start-ups, most of which are run by women, and two children’s charities – Emerge and the RCCI. The ‘Aluth Pola’ offers registered charities free tables as they understand the struggle to fundraise and continue our impactful work.
The event aims at supporting local vendors who will be showcasing their work including; plants, books, lamprais, baked goods, handcrafted jewellery, art, clothing and so much more.
Justice for Animals has, since 2020, spay-neutered over 9,000 dogs and cats and vaccinated 14,000, providing one of the largest spay-neuter-vaccinate-treat programs by a locally funded animal welfare group in Sri Lanka.
