Ministry Of Crab and DineForLanka will be hosting a charity dinner on Friday 4 October as part of a series of special dining events and activities supporting victims and families impacted by the Easter Sunday Sri Lanka bombings.
It’s been just over five months since a series of eight suicide bombings killed 253 people and injured more than 500 across Sri Lanka on 21 April. The DineForLanka fundraising campaign was created by an Australian who was at the Shangri-La having breakfast at the time of the attacks, in order to support the Sri Lankan victims and families left parentless, childless and facing a lifetime of horrific injuries.
Supported by the DineForLanka Ambassadors – Mahela Jayawardena, Gagan Anand, Dan Hunter, Russel Arnold, Simon Taufel and Matt Preston, fundraising proceeds will be directed towards Kind Hearted Lankans relief efforts.
You can contribute in a number of ways:
Dine on 4 October at the Ministry Of Crab x DineForLanka fundraising dinner, starting with sunset drinks from 6 p.m. followed by a six-course dinner, including Ministry Of Crab’s famous crab. Guests will also be in the company of one of the Ministry Of Crab ‘Ministers’ – Chef Dharshan Munidasa, Mahela Jayawardena (also a DineForLanka Ambassador) or Kumar Sangakkara. Tickets can be purchased online at www.dineforlanka.com/events.
Dine at one of the other DineForLanka events around the world, including dinner at BOTANIK Bistro Bar on Saturday, 5 October.
Bid for spectacular travel, dining and entertainment experiences in the DineForLanka silent auction.
Purchase a copy of the Serendipity Coffee Table Book, published in memory of the victims of the Sri Lanka bombings, including recipes from a number of celebrity chefs around the world and images of all that the beautiful nation of Sri Lanka has to offer.
Even a small contribution via a direct donation can make a difference.
DineForLanka fundraising proceeds will be directed to Kind Hearted Lankans, to provide on-the-ground medical relief and longer-term sustainable support to impacted victims and their families.
