Usher in the Avurudhu festivites and Easter joy, at the Paw-Sperity Xtravaganza; a treat for shoppers, where tradition and good cheer meet a cause close to our hearts — Animal Welfare.

The Paw-Sperity Xtravaganza today at the Atrium Lobby of the Cinnamon Grand, in aid of Rescue Animals Sri Lanka (RAS), with Mrs. Sri Lanka and First Runner Up to Mrs. World 2025 Ishadi Amanda, as the Chief Guest, promises to be a day of fun filled shopping, with a staggering selection of exciting goodies, perfect for gift-giving and personal indulgence. In fact with 61 stalls, there’s something for everyone! Paw-Sperity which actually combines the words paw and prosperity, symbolises what this event is all about – animal welfare and prosperity for all. What’s more, the four-legged Chief Guest will be Little Jax, a miniature Dachshund who is the RAS mascot.

Browse through a variety of ladies, gents and kids clothing, footwear, cosmetics, both Batik as well as regular saris, jewellery, skin care, handmade designer handbags, accessories, homemade wines, chutneys and pickles, organic foods, Xmas décor, table and bed linen, cushions, arts and crafts, stationery and greeting cards, crochet and knitted products, scented candles, perfumes, health and gluten free foods , vegan foods , bath and body care, Avurudhu and Easter goodies, a range of specialty foods from the Cinnamon Grand, household items, and well – just about everything you will need for a very prosperous Avurudhu and a joyous Easter.

The proceeds from the bazaar will go towards supporting RAS’ street animal welfare work as well as their shelter, and most importantly the re location of RAS to a more spacious location. Once again, an important feature of Paw-Sperity is that RAS has given complimentary stalls to human charities close to their hearts, namely The Indira Cancer Trust, Helpage, and The Rehabilitation Centre for the Communication Impaired (RCCI), for them to sell goods and raise funds for their own charities. RAS also supports a group of visually impaired people who 25 years ago numbered 40+, but over the years has now come down to just five.

The entrance ticket to Paw-Sperity is also a raffle ticket with ten fabulous prizes, including a sari from Aslam Hussein, an evening dress from Charini Suriyage, a beautiful pair of earrings from Sena Gems and a host of other gifts.

A big thank you from RAS goes out to all their wonderful partners without whom this bazaar would not be a reality – ‘The Best address in Town’ – The Cinnamon Grand, headed by the dynamic Cinnamon Colombo Hotels Area Vice President and Cinnamon Grand Colombo General Manager Kamal Munasinghe, Social Media Partner Zelus, Print Media Partner Wijeya Newspapers Ltd., Brian Kerkoven of the Brian Kerkoven Academy, and so many friends and well-wishers too numerous to mention, all of whom worked hard to make Paw-Sperity a reality.  As you shop and enjoy the fun filled atmosphere, remember this isn’t just a bazaar — it’s a chance to make a difference to both people and animals, while celebrating age old traditional festivities.
