Subway Sri Lanka is introducing the Fresh Forward makeover to its newest restaurant which will be opened in Shangri-La’s One Galle Face Mall today. The restaurant is designed to offer guests an enhanced Subway experience, delivering bold and playful décor, new menu options and a flexible, comfortable environment for dine in or on-the-go consumption.

The Fresh Forward concept entails transformation of each and every aspect of the restaurant including overall décor, consumer facing technology as well as adopting eco-friendly features for improved sustainability.

The Fresh Forward design comprises new décor with updated technology including digital menu boards, Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, music curated exclusively for Subway, comfortable seating combined with energy-efficient LED lighting and water-saving appliances.

Announcing the news, Subway South Asia Country Director Ranjit Talwar said, “We are delighted to bring the new Fresh Forward concept to Sri Lanka. Our menu will be an eclectic mix of international and local flavours of popular Subway sandwiches and salads. We intend to adapt our international best-selling sandwiches to local tastes whilst offering customers the best value for money.”

Sharing her excitement on introducing Fresh Forward in Sri Lanka, Chandima Waduge, franchisee owner of Subway, said: “Enriching the overall guest experience is our key focus. In this new design, our guests will be able to relish freshly made famous sandwiches and salads paired with modern technology features which are new and would add to their delight.”

Globally, Subway has opened and redesigned approximately 1,400 Fresh Forward locations and another 900 restaurant locations are in various stages of construction and design phase.

Subway celebrated its fifth anniversary in Sri Lanka last August. The brand leads the way in the quick service restaurant industry in terms of its product line-up which is traditionally deemed fresh and more nutritious.

Subway provides consumers the freedom to have their submarine sandwiches and salads made as per their liking, using an assortment of fresh veggies and breads, which has helped in fuelling the brand’s growth in the country.
