Harbour Court at The Kingsbury, Colombo lit up this Deepavali with a spectacular two-day Deepavali Dinner Buffet on 31 October and 1 November, featuring an exceptional spread of Indian favourites.
Curated by Indian cuisine specialist Chef Labh Singh, the menu showcased the rich diversity of Deepavali’s flavours with a variety of appetisers, kebabs, aromatic biryanis, freshly baked breads, and delicious desserts.
The celebration began with refreshing cold beverages like Jaljeera and Lassi, setting the tone for the evening. Guests were treated to a spectacular Chaat Counter offering 15 varieties, including Harbour Court’s signature Panipuri and Papad Chaat. Appetisers like Gobi Chaat and Aloo Chaat added to the excitement, while the Tandoori Section, featuring 10 different kebabs, dazzled with favourites like Lehsuni Malai Tikka, Zaffrani Bharwan Tangri, and Jhinga Mehrunnisa embraced the spotlight.
The main course offered a luxurious Biryani Bar, showcasing 10 varieties of biryani, such as the flavoursome Mutton Lucknowi and the rich, aromatic Kashmiri Murgh Biryani, alongside a selection of freshly baked Naan and traditional Indian breads. A unique addition to the menu, the Tandoori Pizza, brought a twist to classic flavours, enhancing the festive spread with its charred, smoky taste.
In the dessert section, a decadent display awaited with timeless favourites like Rasamalai, Saffron Kulfi, Carrot Halwa, and Gulab Jamun, followed by an aromatic Chai Counter that offered a comforting finale to the evening.
Set against a backdrop of festive lighting, Harbour Court’s Deepavali Buffet captured the essence of this endeared celebration. As one of Colombo’s top destinations for international cuisine, Harbour Court once again delivered a Deepavali feast filled with moments of joy, togetherness, and the rich glow of culinary tradition.
