Trincomalee is reputed as one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Sri Lanka. It is famous for its magnificent natural harbour. It is the fifth largest natural harbour in the world and has been described as “one of the most wonderful and beautiful.” In some places, it has depths too deep for anchorage.
