Anton Chekhov’s plaque unveiled at the Galle Face Hotel

Embassy of the Russian Federation and Galle Face Hotel invited foreign diplomats, ministers, media and other guests for the unveiling ceremony of Anton Chekhov’s plaque, recently at the Galle Face Hotel.

The famous Russian writer Anton Chekhov’s 150th birth anniversary and the 120th anniversary of the time he visited Ceylon was celebrated at the event.

Group Chairman of Galle Face Hotel Sanjeev Gardiner, Ambassador of Russian Federation Vladimir Mikhaelov, Petroleum Resources Minister Susil Premjayantha and External Affairs Minister Prof G.L Peiris at the unveiling ceremony
