Ward 8 of Badulla Hospital refurbished with the new curtains

Mina Freeman of Melbourne Australia donated Rs. 100,000 worth of new curtains to the General Hospital Badulla  as a mark of sincere gratitude in attending to his son’s accident while holidaying in Sri Lanka. Freeman who was holidaying in Sri Lanka with his family had an unfortunate incident where his son William had a head injury and was rushed to the Badulla General Hospital.

This is what Freeman had to say: “We were visiting Ella and were looking forward to taking the train from Ella to Kandy in the morning to see the beautiful countryside by rail. However, late that night our son William tripped and hit his head resulting in a deep cut above his eye. We had to rush him to the nearest hospital – Badulla – where he was admitted overnight for observation and given stitches in the morning. The Badulla General Hospital staff was very professional and we are so very grateful to them for treating William’s injury. Thank you for being such welcoming and caring people. My special thanks to the Consultant Dr. Chathuranga Gunaratne and staff of Ward 8 who attended with loving care to my son immediately and put him right. As a gesture of sincere gratitude I was happy to refurbish the entire wards of the hospital with new curtains which was much needed.”
