Sun FM will present the popular 2015 edition of Sunfest today (12) at the Havelock Sports Grounds.

“Sunfest 2015 boasts of a distinctive line up of world-renowned artists and a spectacular audio-visual experience that would stimulate your senses; taking to a place where music transcends and uplift you a higher state. All of these are a surefire combination for a sizzling night that will go down in the chronicles of Sri Lankan entertainment,” the organisers said in a statement.

Inna has blazed through the global charts with hits like “Hot,” “Sun Is Up” and “Déjà vu,” collaborating with the likes of Pitbull, Flo-Rida, Daddy Yankee and Juan Magán and reaching the top slots in dozens of countries. Inna has won multiple MTV Europe Awards, Romanian Music Awards and RRA Awards and in 2012 became the first and only European female artist to reach one billion YouTube views. 

By the end of 2009, Inna had released Hot, the album, throughout Europe, collecting MTV Romania Music awards and MTV Europe Music Awards—among many other accolades—along the way, even as “Hot,” the single, continued its romp across the continent and eventually, across the Atlantic, also topping Billboard charts in the US. Now her biggest release “Cola Song” is climbing the charts alongside with her latest hit ‘’Diggy Down.’’

Gary “Nesta” Pine loved for his distinctive voice, his magnetic personality, his attention-grabbing stage presence and his energetic performances. Gary became the lead singer for the Wailers Band in 1998 replacing Bob Marley. In 2006, Gary took an unlikely journey into the world of European dance music by collaborating with acclaimed French DJ and producer, Bob Sinclar for “Love Generation”, “Shining from Heaven”, “Miss Me” & “Give a Lil Love”. The 2007 Bob Sinclar single, “Sounds of Freedom” featuring Gary Nesta, reached Number 2 on the Billboard Magazine Hot Club Play. Gary’s other project was a feature on Shaggy’s single, “Fly High”.

Gary’s improbable voyage into the dance music genre has allowed this “reggae man” to take a new and exciting journey.

Alex Gaudino acclaimed European success with hits ‘Destination Calabria’ and ‘Watch Out’ not only smashed into the top 20 in the UK becoming one of the most played songs on stations. Alex has rapidly built up a reputation as ‘One of the most prolific producers in Italy’. Well known for his commercial success, topping video and music charts across Europe, the demand for his studio expertises on a remix have grown at a meteoric rate. His recent remixes read like a roll call of dance music’s biggest players, including Armin van Buuren’s Never Say Never, Peace Song by Bob Sinclar, Escape Me by Tiesto and Spaceship by Benny Benassi. Currently tearing up dance floors across Ibiza and the Mediterranean, I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It), looks like he is set to return to the top of the charts. Sonique’s career as a recording artist began when she was signed to Cooltempodetermination. She Also ventured into DJing which brought her to amazing places around the planet. In the meantime Sonique enjoyed two club and dance music chart hits with “I Put a Spell on You” and “It Feels So Good”. This led to explosive requests for the song at radio and retail. Pushed by the tremendous success of this single she finished her debut solo album “Hear my cry” in 2000, which spawned the next single release “Sky” - another excellent example of Sonique’s talent for writing crowd-pleasing anthems. With these successful releases and a UK top ten album in her hand, Sonique topped other respectable nominees like Dido, Jamelia, PJ Harvey and Sade at the Brit Awards 2001 as Best British Female Solo Artist.
