Camp Kreativ: Power of Play’s one-of-a-kind holiday camp!

An initiative of Power of Play Ltd., ‘Camp Kreativ’ is a unique holiday camp for children, featuring multiple creative disciplines, with exciting workshops facilitated by professional artists.

Camp Kreativ will be an adventure for its participants, as they embark on it armed with their talent and enthusiasm and discover a world of fun, creative, interactive activities that will help them realise just how far their love for the arts can take them in life. Parents can rest assured that Camp Kreativ will be a positive experience for their children, since it aims to impart practical skills in a non-competitive environment to foster foundations vital for holistic development. ‘Move, dance & choreograph’ will be facilitated by Wendy Perera. A dancer, choreographer and dance educator, Wendy holds Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance, a Higher Diploma from Lasalle Singapore (Dance) and a BA (Arts) from the University of Colombo. She has danced in contemporary works by international artists and also performed at the Singapore Dans Festival at the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, 2007. She is currently based in Colombo and choreographs an array of productions ranging from full length dance to musicals. The man behind the lens of ‘Glimpse the life of a photojournalist,’ is Chamila Karunarathna. A deputy Pictures Editor at Rivira Media Corporation, he also contributes to several International Photography Agencies which includes Associated Press, Reuters and Corbis. An active member of the National Photographic Art Society, Senkadagala Photo Circle and Up Country Photographic Society, he attended the World Press Photo Workshop in 2003. Karunarathna started his photojournalism career in 2005 at Wijeya Newspapers before joining the Rivira Media Corporation in 2006.
