CBB Annual Inter School Drama Competition finals today at British School Auditorium

The Council for Business with Britain (CBB) is organising its Annual Inter Schools Drama Competition for the third time this year. Leading international and local schools are taking part in this competition. The Preliminary Rounds took place on 25 and 26 October and the Finals will be held today, 1 November, at the British School Auditorium, 63, Elvitigala Mw. Colombo 8 from 6 p.m. onwards. St. Peter’s College, The Overseas School of Colombo, The British School and S. Thomas’ College will be competing for the Challenge Trophy and Trinity College will also perform as the Best Outstation School. The Chief Guest will be British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka John Rankin and Judges are British Council Country Director Kieth Davies, Ranmali Mirchandani and Ravindra Randeniya. The welcome address will be delivered by CBB Chairman and MAS Active MD Shirendra Lawrence, followed by an address by the Chief Guest. The performances will commence at 6:30 p.m., followed by the interval, judges’ comments and presentation of awards. All proceeds from the day go towards financing the CBB’s English Language Teacher Training Project. CBB sponsors this project, which is also known as the CBB/ELT project.
