CDM Ink & Prints this weekend!

Colombo Design Market (CDM) brings you their very first emerging artists market, CDM Ink & Prints, showcasing young and upcoming Sri Lankan artists on 27 and 28 May at the indoor Roar Media Rooftop on 85/20, Jawatte Gardens, Colombo 5 from 2pm to 8pm.

Bringing together graphic designers, visual artists, photographers and illustrators the event will showcase and sell original artwork, posters, postcards, stickers and more. CDM Ink & Prints strives to bring art to accessible spaces, and provides a relaxed and supportive environment to showcase new work and connect with like-minded people. The event comes together with groovy music and good food available throughout the weekend. 

Local artist Javeeka Gunaratne bends the norms of design in her contemporary artwork, as it bursts with creativity and uniqueness. Ayshcharya Pinto, an upcoming female photographer known for her work on Instagram @SollaKella, captures everyday Sri Lanka, highlighting vivid blue oceans, green forests and fiery orange sunsets.

The well-known CDM supports a community of creatives to develop Sri Lanka’s identity through art and design. Through quarterly markets and events, CDM brings together creative startups, budding musicians, filmmakers and photographers, and host talks, workshops and interactive installations to provide a refreshing experience of design and creativity in Sri Lanka.

On 27 (Sat) and 28 (Sun) May at Roar Media Indoor Rooftop, 85/20 Jawatte Gardens, Colombo 5. From 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entrance is LKR 200, valid for both days.
