Celebrating Iranian traditions

The cultural section of the Islamic Republic of Iran had organised a well known Iranian stage drama (T’azieh Imam Hussain) at the John de Silva Theatre, Colombo recently. This drama is based on important incidents of the life of Imam Hussain, the son of Hazarath Imam Ali and Lady Fathima.

This drama mixed with religious theme is a traditional art of Iran.  Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sri Lanka Dr. Nabi Muhammad Hassani Pouri, Cultural Counselor Mehdi G. Rokni and embassy officials including the artist and media personnel’s were present at the drama.
