Ceylon Continental will come alive with “Jewels of Japan” - a Sushi and Sashimi promotion in July to cater to Japanese food lovers. The promotion will run starting from 11 July 2011 from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The objective of “Jewels of Japan” is to bring a star class experience to Japanese food lovers at an affordable price says Kamal Munasinghe, Head of Ceylon Continental.
He added that careful planning went into designing the menu content to ensure the availability of delightful options to vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. The sushi bar will have a wide array of Sushi and sashimi menus at the Café Conti. Prepared by Chef Sanjeewa Caldera, the promotion is bound to tantalize the taste buds of guests. You will be able to indulge in a wide range of from Nigri – Sushi to Maki –Sushi, Chirashi – Sushi, Oshi-Sushi, Suffed-Sushi and as well as including chakin- Zushi or Fukusa- sushi, Inari – sushi and Sashimi.
Chef Caldera has had immense training in Japanese cuisine and has over 17 years of work experience in Japanese Restaurant. He will strive to blend the international experience he has gained in Japanese cuisine into the Sushi and Sashimi promotion at Café Conti, bringing out unique flavours and aromas of the freshest ingredients.
