CFW returns: ramps up Asian presence in fashion world

Eclectic designs, vibrant hues and innovative creations stormed Colombo once again as the HSBC Colombo Fashion Week 2012 kicked off yesterday at the Hilton Colombo in an absolute maelstrom of colour as models took to the ramp in artfully choreographed sequences to showcase the collections of both local and international designers taking part this year. Reaching ‘tier two’ in the fashion world which puts CFW amidst the ranks of the renowned Barcelona and Madrid Fashion Weeks, CFW 2012 is considered to be the biggest yet and is certainly one of the most prestigious fashion shows in South Asia.
