Something for everyone

The Dragon Brunch has something for everyone. From special action stations for Peking duck with pancake, Singaporean style spring rolls and dim sum to Vietnamese satay, Cantonese noodle BBQ and tempura, the fresh dishes are prepared with high quality ingredients and the freshest fruits and vegetables. While the variety of dishes on offer is vast, there’s no compromising on the quality of the cuisine, as is the case with all Cinnamon Grand restaurants. Diners will be hard-pressed to make their choices from the line-up of appetisers, ranging from chilled prawns with green tea oil, Thai marinated whole modha and braised pork loin with honey to a host of vegetarian options such as Vietnamese cabbage salad, raw papaya salad, BBQ tofu with bean sprouts and much more. Whether the preferred choice is rice or noodles, there are several options of both. The more popular rice dishes are Vietnamese chicken fried rice, Indonesian and Malaysian nasi-goreng and Singapore style fried while top noodles dishes are the Shanghai vegetable noodles and udon with prawns.   Extensive selection When it comes to the meat dishes, the buffet boasts an extensive selection of flavour-filled varieties, from spicy fried squid in red tamarind sambol, crispy mullet in ginger sauce and baked fish in chilli garlic sauce to more popular dishes such as the hot butter cuttlefish and chilli crab and prawn in coconut curry laid out at the seafood counter. The wok fried beef with mushroom sauce, chicken yakitori and spicy coconut lamb take pride of place in this section. The Thai style BBQ spare ribs are a delightful option but for those who prefer digging into something less messier, there’s the lime and chilli pork or sweet and sour pork, to name just two.

Special desserts

Giving the perfect final touch to this ‘Grand’ brunch is the choice of special Asian desserts such as agar agar, mango sticky pudding, sago with coconut milk, kuhbakar and the Grand’s very own coconut ice-cream. Sunday sustenance is never as good as it is at the Cinnamon Grand’s Dragon Brunch. Treat your friends and family to a meal par excellence, where the key requirement is a dragon’s appetite.
