The Commons coffee house, the first home-grown coffee house in the city, is celebrating its 12th anniversary of serving up great coffees, a range of over 140 dishes with a selection of Western and Eastern menus including breakfast dishes, wraps, the famous Commons Burgers, delectable desserts, delicious milk shakes, cool frappes, hoppers and home-grown Rotti Cart, setting a trend in the coffee house culture in the city, that can be enjoyed by all.
Now, to mark its 12th anniversary, in appreciation of their loyal patronage, the popular coffee house is giving diners even more reason to drop by with the launch of the ‘Perk Up’ rewards program from 4 May.
“We believe a strong rewards program is paramount to the growth and sustainability of Commons and it gives me great pleasure to launch this for the 12th anniversary for all to enjoy. The simplicity of the rewards program attracts all to enjoy an array of great food served at the restaurant and give all the reason to keep coming back,” said MD Harpo Gooneratne.
What better way to thank guests than giving rewards every time when they dine in and place take away orders at the Commons? Registration for the program is simple, by filling a ‘Perk Up’ Rewards card or it will be added when settling the bill. Guests earn 10 points for every Rs. 100 spent with every transaction for dine in and takeaway orders (excluding taxes and service charges). Once 500 ‘Perk Up’ points have been earned and saved guests will be eligible for redemption on their takeaway orders only on any food or beverage item purchased (redemption is on bill value including taxes). Perk Up rewards points redemption is 1:1 on all takeaway orders at the Commons coffee house.
“There are lots of regular diners here who have been asking for a loyalty program. The Perk Up loyalty program gives loyalty points for the entire menu, which can be earned through dine-in and takeaway orders at present. We’re working on offering points for delivery as well, while redemption is for takeaway orders. So for example, if your bill is Rs. 2,500, you get Rs. 250 Perk Up points, which you can redeem on your takeaway orders. Every time you make a transaction, you will get a message updating you on your points,” said Harpo’s Pizza & Pasta Brand Manager Shehaan Thahir.
Commons Coffee House has been delivering meaningful guest experiences with its concept that makes the young and the not-so-young feel comfortable to chill out at the Cozy Hangout enjoying the range of dishes and the fresh beverages served.
“Serving a cross section of guests for the last 12 years and emphasising on offering great service and good food goes beyond the day-to-day relationship. The ‘Perk Up’ rewards program provides ways to show our appreciation for their continuous patronage,” asserted Commons Director Operations Kishani Karunaratne, the livewire behind the Commons concept.
